AS4 BASICS
The AS4 System is a customizable, wall-mounted modular system that combines clean design with exceptional flexibility. It supports a range of components including shelves, desks, drawers, and cabinets—all suspended from a wall-mounted framework. The system is ideal for home offices, libraries, studios, or any space needing elegant storage and display.
How does the system work?
The system relies on two structural elements:
Mounting Bars: These horizontal bars attach directly to the wall and determine the bay layout—the horizontal spacing between standards.
Standards: These vertical elements attach to the mounting bars and support all the modular components.
Once installed, components can be repositioned at any time by loosening and retightening a few screws. This allows you to reconfigure your setup as your needs evolve.
What are the system’s dimensions and adjustability?
Standard Bay Widths: 22” and 32” bays are most common, but dimensions can be customized.
Standards: Heights are available in 2” increments, allowing the system to scale precisely to your space.
Component Positioning: All components mount using a 2” vertical hole pattern, giving you fine control over height placement within each bay.
What is the lead time for an AS4 system?
Made to Order: When an order is placed, before production begins, we will ask for some basic information about the wall(s) where you will be installing the system, and use that to create shop drawings. Once shop drawings are approved, the order is sent to production, which currently has a lead time of approximately 3-4 months.
In Stock Option: We keep a limited amount of 22”w and 32”w shelving in stock, which allows for a quicker turnaround time. The height of the standards is still customizable.

We stock a limited amount of shelving, which is available at a lower cost and a faster lead time.
The AS4 Builder is a great way to get to know the AS4 system. Enter wall size, select materials and standard type, then simply drag and drop the components into position. The standards will snap to create 22” or 32” wide bays.
